Hi. My name is Ruth Lowe and I’m the owner of The Time Fairy. I currently have thee other wonderful Time Fairies working for me, Jackie, Maria and Lea (more information about them below).
I know what it’s like to be busy, having worked whilst studying for a degree, raising children, and volunteering in various different roles. I also know that it’s so important to get that work-life balance right, and that’s why I became the Time Fairy.
I love helping people in any way that I can and I have a wide variety of experience, skills and knowledge. I enjoy organising, research, attention to detail and keeping busy. I am reliable, hardworking, flexible and trustworthy. I have an enhanced DBS and UK driving licence.
Work and Life
I have always been involved in volunteering for a variety of different groups because of my desire to help people (and animals). I am currently a volunteer for Cats Protection, fostering cats and kittens until they can be re-homed. I also help at Southam Gymnastics where I am the grants co-ordinator, club welfare officer and health & safety officer.
My last employment role was as Deputy Manager for a Surestart Children’s Centre. There I took on various projects and roles. For example, supporting families in the home, supervising staff, running sessions for families, delivering parenting courses, policy writing, developing paperwork and systems. I was the designated person for Child Protection issues, as well as the go-to person for random problems!
I am married with two grown up children. Parenting is definitely a challenging role, and between my family and work, I have a great deal of experience and knowledge to make family life that little bit easier.
My training and qualifications include:
- BA Honours degree in Early Childhood Education
- NPQICL (leadership qualification)
- Dementia Friend
- Special Educational Needs and Autism
- ECDL (computer skills)
- First Aid and CPR
- Child Protection and Safeguarding
- Health & Safety
- Food Safety
Training for working with children also includes:
- Behaviour management
- Triple P (Positive Parenting Programme)
- Speech & Language (Tiers 1 – 3)
- Chatter Matters
My name is Jackie. I am very enthusiastic to help people. In my role as a Time Fairy I love to do the jobs that some clients may struggle to do, and seeing how much they appreciate what I do for them makes it so rewarding.
My name is Maria and I became a Time Fairy to keep busy and to be useful. I like helping clients tick things off their ‘to-do’ list, be it de-cluttering, tidying, or organising their lives, so that they have more time to do the fun things instead. Consider me your extra pair of hands!
My name is Lea. I mainly help Ruth with my cleaning skills, but am also experienced at taking care of pets, because of my experience with my three precious dogs, and previous cat, hamsters and guinea pigs. My work with the Time Fairy and a local café have helped me to develop good people skills. I am a very helpful and caring fairy who is eager to please and ensure that clients are happy.
